TruthTube Files uses Google Analytics 4 for aggregate measurement. Behavioral advertising and retargeting remain inactive; essential security and service-delivery technologies may operate where necessary.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website or service can place on a browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, software-development kits, referral identifiers, and server-side records. They may remember a choice, maintain a secure session, measure use, attribute a referral, or support advertising.
Some technologies are set directly by the website you visit (“first-party”). Others are set or read by a separate service whose content or tools appear on the page (“third-party”). Whether consent is required depends on the technology, purpose, location, and law that applies.
Technologies currently used
TruthTube Files uses Google Analytics 4 for aggregate audience and performance measurement under Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics storage is denied by default and becomes available only after the reader grants the Analytics category. Behavioral advertising and retargeting remain inactive.
| Category | Current status | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | May be active | Security, page delivery, form processing, abuse prevention, and authenticated administrative access. | Session-based or limited according to operational need. |
| Functional preferences | Preference panel | Stores the consent choice needed to remember optional settings. | Until the preference is cleared or replaced. |
| Analytics | Denied by default | Aggregate visits, navigation, performance, and content engagement after consent. | Varies by Google configuration and browser settings. |
| Advertising | Inactive | Would support ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, or interest-based advertising. | Not applicable until configured. |
Google Analytics is provided by Google and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Hosting and security providers may also process IP address, requested URL, browser information, timestamps, and error or security events in server logs.
Strictly necessary technologies
Strictly necessary technologies support functions readers request or that are needed to protect and deliver the service. They may help submit a newsletter request or correction report, route traffic, prevent malicious activity, maintain authenticated administrative access, or recover from errors.
These technologies are not used by TruthTube Files for behavioral advertising. Blocking them through browser or network settings may prevent forms, security controls, or authenticated features from working correctly.
Optional categories and controls
Functional technologies
The preference panel stores whether Analytics or Advertising/Marketing was selected. Necessary forms, navigation, and security functions remain available.
Analytics and performance
Google Analytics 4 receives measurement signals only after Analytics consent is granted. Readers can change the choice through the permanent Cookie Settings link in the footer, browser controls, or Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and measurement
Behavioral advertising is not active on TruthTube Files. Advertising/Marketing consent remains denied unless a reader explicitly enables it in the preference panel.
Embedded content
Video, audio, social, map, or other third-party embeds may connect to the provider and set technologies when loaded. Where practical, optional embeds may be delayed until a reader chooses to activate them.
Affiliate links and referral tracking
Some links may include a referral identifier showing that a visitor came from TruthTube Files. When you follow an affiliate link, the merchant or affiliate network may place or read a cookie on its own website to attribute a qualifying purchase, trial, or signup.
TruthTube Files does not control cookies set after you leave our domain. Referral windows, retention periods, and data practices differ by provider. Review the destination’s privacy and cookie notices. Our commercial standards are explained in the Affiliate Disclosure.
Your controls and choices
Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer to reopen the preference panel and accept, reject, customize, or revoke optional categories. Strictly necessary technologies may remain active because the requested service cannot operate securely without them.
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and site data. Browser settings may also restrict third-party cookies or clear storage when a session ends. These controls vary by browser and device; consult the official help documentation for your software.
Blocking cookies does not prevent every form of measurement because services may use server logs or other privacy-regulated technologies. We apply the same purpose-based standards regardless of the technical label.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers transmit Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. There is not one universally applicable response to every signal. TruthTube Files does not currently sell personal information or use public-page technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If future practices create an obligation to recognize a legally valid opt-out preference signal, we intend to implement the required response and explain it in the relevant notice.
Retention and changes
Cookie duration depends on purpose. A session technology normally expires when the browser session ends, while a persistent technology remains until its expiry date or deletion. Where we control a technology, retention should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose.
We may update this policy when vendors, features, consent requirements, or technologies change. The updated date will appear at the top. Material changes may also be communicated through the site or a preference panel.
